Delicious, locally-sourced, tasty food served out of a retro-hip school bus? Yes, please! Le Truc is all that and more. Their expansive menu with seasonal changes has everything from Tacos to Meatball Sandwiches. Le Truc has a prime (almost daily) location– the corner parking lot at the intersection of Brannan Street at 4th Street in San Francisco’s SOMA district. This black bus gets tons of attention during lunch hours, so it’s best to line-up just before noon to avoid the wait.
Today I had the Meatball Sandwich with a Green Goddess Wedge Salad (pictured below). Other favorites on their menu are; Bleu Burger, Panko/Grilled Chicken 2.0 and the Watermelon/Arugula/Feta salad when available. They also have a cooler full of various beverages (non-alcoholic, of course) available for purchase.
They also just starting accepting credit cards via Square, which is pretty awesome, right?! So no worries if you don’t have cash handy or ran out of time to hit up the ATM– they’ve got you all covered.
Seating options for Le Truc are more generous than many others; they offer both seating inside the bus (if available) and a picnic table outside.
