Thinking of a quiet, quaint spot for a weekend getaway? Napa River Inn might just fit the bill. We recently stayed here while enjoying an event at Brown Estate and were pleasantly surprised by the cozy accommodations and well appointed- amenities.
Napa River Inn is located at the end of Main Street, in downtown Napa and poised just right for great views of the river, Napa hills and more. Recognized as a Historic Hotel of America, it’s vintage brick exterior and wooden walk up leave little to be desired upon arrival; very charming. Each room is stocked with all the great wine country necessities; wine bottle opener, glasses, ice bucket and snacks for pairing. With each overnight stay, you receive complimentary breakfast from “Sweetie Pie’s”, their on-site bakery and pie-shop. Your pre-selected treats will arrive the next morning (at time of your choice), fresh and delicious goodies and a great start to your day (I highly recommend the oat scone).
Just steps from some of Napa’s best restaurants, it’s not hard to find a palate-pleasing dining choice. On the property is Angele, a contemporary styled French restaurant with a great outdoor dining space. Or just around the corner is Celadon, another great choice. We ventured down a bit more to Rotisserie & Wine for appetizers/small plates and then onto Oenotri, the night we stayed over. Both were great selections.
Napa River Inn offers a home-comfort feel with all the luxuries of being away from home. You can find out more information on their website:
