Coming up for air after a very busy Fall (after nearly 8 years of life and love, we got married in September!) we find ourselves in mid-December and 2013 is almost here. We’ve been reflecting on the many blessings 2012 has brought us– really, we’re very blessed. Aside from walking down the aisle and celebrating our marriage with our close friends and family, the highlight of this year was our honeymoon in Bora Bora. Our fabulous vacation would have never been possible without the help, guidance and stellar customer service from Stacy Small with Elite Travel International.
This time last year, we honestly believed that booking travel online was the way to go. Today? I can’t believe we ever left home without using Stacy. We were virtually introduced to Stacy a couple years ago and regret not booking travel with her before planning our honeymoon. When we started dreaming of our Tahitian honeymoon we immediately thought of Stacy and entrusted her with our hopes of the perfect getaway. The first and best (we think) thing to know about Stacy is that when you book travel through her, you’re not just booking a hotel room and flights. Stacy has been around the world, stayed at resorts that would blow your mind and is constantly in-the-know of luxury travel. She can tell you where to stay (giving you options and opinions), how to get there without wasting your time and what to do while you’re enjoying your vacation. All we can compare it to is reading through hundreds of TripAdvisor reviews and finally getting what you’re looking for (if that ever happens…it rarely has for us). Stacy will cut to the chase and tell you exactly why you should, shouldn’t, would or wouldn’t want to go where you’re dreaming of. That is a gift of security that no amount of internet research will gain you. Luxury travel is not inexpensive and you want to make sure you’re getting the most out of what you’re paying for, right? Well, that’s Stacy’s job and she takes it quite seriously. In fact, Stacy just arrived home from a week in France. A week in France meeting with top hoteliers from around the world. A week of doing research for her clients, so she knows where and when to send those clients. She is constantly traveling and researching, making an investment in the money that her clients are spending on vacations– that, you cannot buy or ever find online.
Now, back to Bora Bora. We narrowed it down to one island (Bora Bora, rather than Tahiti or Moorea, which are often paired or added to visiting Bora Bora) and a few different resorts; St. Regis Bora Bora, Four Seasons Bora Bora and the Intercontinental Thalasso. Stacy has personally been to and knows the staff at each of those three resorts (and most of the other resorts in French Polyenesia, too!), so she was able to really give us the advantage of knowledge we were looking for before selecting a destination. We settled on the Four Seasons Bora Bora for a number of different reasons, but we cannot express enough that it surely didn’t disappoint. It was luxurious, very well-apointed and we felt like we got a great value. We were VERY happy honeymooners.
Since booking our honeymoon with Stacy, we have booked a few more (smaller) vacations with her and each time she’s been a dream to work with. Again, we stress; in a day when it seems like the ‘net might be your best bet, think again and put your hard-earned vacation time and money in the hands of someone who wants you to enjoy traveling as much as possible.
